WHAT WE DO

Bridging the Gap Grants

The Bridging the Gap Grants is an innovative pilot program by the Redwood City Education Foundation (RCEF), made possible through the generous support of local funders and engaged parents. These grants aim to support impactful, equity-focused projects within the Redwood City School District (RCSD), addressing resource disparities and supporting the unique needs of students across all RCSD schools. Investing in specific classroom needs ensures every student has access to essential tools and opportunities for academic success and personal growth.

Why Bridging the Gap?

Redwood City schools serve a diverse student body, with over 66% facing challenges like poverty and language barriers. The Bridging the Gap Grants fund innovative projects that support underserved students and empower educators to enhance engagement and academic outcomes. In its first year, data from this initiative will evaluate its impact, helping the Redwood City Education Foundation (RCEF) address educational inequities and foster a culture of equity and inclusivity district-wide.
