RCEF Equity Summit
The Redwood City Education Foundation hosts the annual RCEF Equity Summit, a pivotal event dedicated to fostering discussions on educational equity, gathering community input, and educating participants on actionable steps to make Redwood City more equitable. Since its inception in 2023, the summit has been a platform for meaningful dialogue and community engagement.

Each year, the summit embraces a unique theme while maintaining its core objective of promoting equity in education. The inaugural 2023 summit, themed “Evolving to Meet the Needs of Our Students,” set the stage for ongoing conversations about adapting to the changing educational landscape. In 2024, the theme "A Family Discussion: Diverse Identities, Inclusive Communities" highlighted the importance of inclusive practices and diverse perspectives in creating supportive learning environments.

An exciting community event where kids and their adults will explore the power of resilience and learn how to navigate challenges while envisioning the future they want to create. Through hands-on activities, engaging discussions, and practical tools, we’ll dive into how resilience is built in schools and how we can support our students in overcoming adversity and thriving at home and in the community. This is a unique opportunity to come together, learn, and empower every child to succeed—don’t miss it!
